A Happy Thanksgiving

From my food baby to yours.

Stop me if I’m wrong but it seems as though there is no such thing as being paralyzingly full on Thanksgiving weekend. I wrap up eating my third helping around four and by six, I’m ready for round two. By eight, a stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwich never tasted so good and if I make it past 10, picking the pecans off the top of the pie make a great pre-bed snack.

If you’re like me, you also probably realized that pumpkin pie tastes just as good at 10am as it did the night before, especially if you’re still feeling yesterday’s bloody Mary’s and bottomless red wine.

If this sounds vaguely familiar, plus or minus a turkey sandwich and fourth helping, you’ve probably also come to terms with why you haven’t stuffed yourself into your skinny jeans yet; let alone any clothing with a button because well, let’s be real here: mashed potatoes and Pilsbury crescent rolls do not traditionally go hand in hand with pants. So what to wear after Thanksgiving?

Leggings. We all love them—pregnant women swear by them. They grow when we grow and work best with anything oversized. (Whether that’s you or your bulky sweater.) I went with a pattern that makes most people go cross-eyed, which proved the perfect disguise for digesting (yes, digesting) with friends over red wine and a sunset. Leggings, I am thankful for you.

But aside from the nylon/spandex blend pants I'm singing the praises of, I also want to take a second and tell you how THANKFUL I am for all of my readers--for you. I am so appreciative of all of your comments and emails and it’s debatable if I’d keep Mand Made This alive without it all. So thank you and keep reading!
