I know we are in February, but being a month late on my New Year’s resolutions, excuse me while I also comment on the weather.
It’s Alaska outside, or as my coworker would say, it’s
brick. Which translation: it’s effing freezing.
These pictures were taken in between Polar Vortexes (which
now have become a nationwide thing) and are proof that I’ve just about lost it.
Or at least lost feeling in my toes.
Now you may be thinking, New Year, new hair but no little
ones, I fobbed it. I’ve been toying with the idea of chopping my hair off for a
while, à la Karlie Kloss, Alexa Chung or that tall waitress from Vanderpump
Rules but I just can’t pull the trigger.
A faux bob (do you spell it fauxb?) is a great way to mix up
your hair for the commitment-phobe like me. As I always say, fake it till you
make it.
1.
Simply pull your hair into a low pony and secure
the elastic at the very end before too many layers fall out. It’s ok if some
short pieces don’t make the cut.
2.
Fold the pony down and under, creating a loop,
and secure with a small clip to the back of your scalp.
3.
Fluff it up a bit and run your fingers through
your part to make it look for natural then secure any too-long pieces back up
with a bobby pin.
Add a little hair spray and voilà, a fob.
