The smoothie bowl edition.
So it turns out that a smoothie bowl is literally just a
smoothie poured into a bowl. Mind. Blown.
I have no idea why eating (drinking?) smoothies this way
never crossed my mind before, but I just started and I’m hooked. *Bonus, if you
squint your eyes, it kind of looks like an ice cream sundae. Win-win.
Try this recipe this weekend (or a variation of it—legit
made this one up on the fly) for an antioxidant, omega-3, protein packed bfast.
I promise it will make you feel much better than the egg and cheese bagel you
routinely get Seamless delivery reach for Sunday mornings.
Berries & Cream Smoothie Bowl:
Blend:
6 strawberries
1 cup plain fat free Chobani
1 cup frozen berries
½ cup water/coconut water/coconut milk (your choice)
Top with:
A row of steel cut oats (yes, I’m using ‘a row’ as a unit of
measurement for all toppings going forward)
Flax meal
Chia seeds
Raw unsweetened coconut flakes
Berries
Cinnamon
Local honey
