Whistle Blower

Warning: this post has multiple sports references. Most do not properly apply.

Last time I wore these pants, everyone thought I had just left the gym. I’m going to go ahead and mark that as a win. Do I look athletic to you?

I originally wore this when hairspray, makeup and pants with a button were just not on the playing field. The pants stretched, the sweater sagged—it was literally the comfiest outfit of all time. And luckily, with a festive weekend coming up, this sporty chic ensemble is playing overtime.

Today is October 30th, the day before Halloween. If you are like every other post grad girl on a budget, you’ve waited until the last minute for inspiration to hit you and your DIY costume. If you’re like me, you’re waiting until the even later last second to see what copy-worthy ensembles celebrities wore to their boogie night bashes.

And then when that fails, there’s this—black and white and referee all over. Throw on a pair of Ray Bans and a whistle and you’ve got yourself a blind ref.

Then come Sunday, when your Friday night sugar high/hangover subsides, replay first down AKA, outfit repeat offender.

Sunday at 4:25 the heartthrob takes on the forehead; who will come out on top? My money is on the Patriots, as it always is and wearing this, I’ll have no problem yelling pass interference across the room. I am a referee after all.

Happy Halloween and happy tailgating!
